Favorite Things – Dresses Edition

With Revolver’s ever-changing inventory
we see a gazillion dresses come through the shop each season.
Of course everyone has their favorites
and all of the pieces are lovely in their own way,
but some dresses just POP.
These are the dresses everyone wishes was in their size
and you can already imagine a million ways&places to wear it.

So in case you haven’t been in the shop recently,
here are our current favorites…

(Diane von Furstenberg dress size 2 $112, necklace $12)

When we saw this DVF piece we fell in love. It’s vibrant and flattering; it practically sings “Summer is here!” We picture it being worn on a wedding guest somewhere tropical, like Hawaii.

(Trina Turk dress size 2 $88, Artwear by Natis necklace $25)

This Trina Turk dress came to us recently; it caught our eye as we tried to make sense of the print. But what does that matter? The fact is this dress is eye-catching without being over-the-top, it’s structural without being rigid. We think it’d be great worn to a cocktail-meets-cookout event.

(Ann Taylor Loft dress size 6 $30, Aldo handbag $20)

The colors on this one made us smile. So soft and delicate – not to mention pastels are so in right now – this piece is feminine in an artsy way. We think it’d be perfect for a gallery opening paired with a colorful heel.

(David Meister dress size 6 $130, clutch $14)

Hello Print! How cool is this Asian-inspired design? For anyone who isn’t super girly but frequently attends cocktail events, this is the dress for you. The sleek silhouette helps to balance out a wild print and keep the focus on the wearer. Design bonus – topstitch details create panels that accentuate curves and visually “corset” the waist.

(French Connection dress size 10 $52, Ann Taylor Loft cardigan $12)

This little number by French Connection has been tried on by many but has yet to find the perfect wearer. We are surprised every day it stays in the shop because really, what’s not to love? The color and print are beautiful, the retro cut is flattering, and the light-weight cotton is just what a girl needs with the weather we’ve been having!

(Nanette Lepore dress size 4 $98, Sharagano blazer $32)

This Nanette Lepore dress belongs in the closet of a young, stylish professional. It’s sophisticated for the office when worn with a blazer – the lining on this one matches the dress perfectly! – and if you should ditch the blazer the dress is ready to hit the downtown bars for Happy Hour. What more could a girl ask for?

(Betsy Johnson dress size small $148 NEW, Good Girls Studio necklace $58)

It was love at first sight when we saw the beautiful beadwork and wispy teal material; this piece by Betsy Johnson is truly stunning. We’d suggest you wear it to an evening wedding where the soft lighting would make you glow, but then we worry you may out-shine the bride. Oh well! Wear this dress to your heart’s delight, the occasion doesn’t really matter.

(David Meister dress size 8 $198 NEW, vintage necklace $14)

Hot pink and lace, what more could a girl ask for? We would stock this dress in every size if we could: it’s suited for business events, cocktail parties with friends, attending your kid’s high school graduation, a Summer wedding… the list could go on and on. Just switch up the accessories for infinite variety!

See a dress that’s calling your name? Don’t wait, try it on today!
